General Policies

At Back2Balance Massage Magic,, it is my intention to provide you with professional and therapeutic services in a relaxing and friendly environment. I will tailor each treatment to your individual needs. The following policies and procedures serve as a guide for your initial and future appointments.

Appointment Policy

All services are by appointment only.
I am available to provide services to you in your home or another location of your preference or at Divine Beauty Salon.
To ensure appointment availability, I suggest that a regular series of appointments be scheduled. You will also discover the value of regular appointments to your own health benefits.

Payment Policy

Payment by cash, debit, or major credit card is accepted. No checks please!
Payment is due at the end of the service.
SERVICES ARE NOT COVERED BY YOUR INSURANCE!

Cancellation and No Show Policy

Please provide at least a 24 hour notice if you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment. This gives me enough time to fill the slot.
If you fail to show up for your scheduled appointment time, you will not be scheduled for future appointments unless you pay in advance.
Pre-paid appointments and Gift Certificates will incur a $25 re-booking fee for cancellations with less than 24 hour notice.

Late Arrival Policy

I request that you arrive 5 minutes early for your appointment. If you arrive 5-10 min late for your appointment, the time left will be used to its best advantage. If you arrive 15 mins or later without calling you will be considered a NO SHOW and you will be charged and/or shall forfeit any gift certificate or pre-paid.
Please call me at 304-760-9685 if you’re running late. You may also be asked to pre-pay for future services.

Confidentiality and Conversation Policy

I treat all of your visits and conditions as confidential. As such, I will not discuss your visit with anybody outside of this office without your express permission.
You may choose to talk or not talk during the massage. Conversation will be guided by you.

Scope of Practice Policy

I am a licensed professional and held to the highest standards by Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals (ABMP) and the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA).
I do not diagnose or prescribe for medical conditions. I may refer you to a medical doctor for diagnosis. My services are not intended as an alternative for proper medical attention for specific conditions.

Professional Boundaries

I am happy to adjust pressure, temperature, musical volume, work longer on an area or move on if you request it.
You may choose to leave on as much clothing as needed for comfort, refuse any service methods, or stop services at any time.
You will always be modestly draped. Only the area being massaged will be undraped. You will be kept informed of the area to be massaged.
Inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated. Suggestive comments, sexual innuendos, and/or touching of me in an inappropriate way will result in the termination of the session and you will not be allowed to return for further services.

Existing and New Medical Conditions

It is your responsibility to keep me informed of any medical treatment currently being taken, and to provide written permission from the physician, chiropractor, physical therapist, etc., that the services may be continued.
You must also keep me informed of any changes in health conditions.
If you are undergoing chemo and radiation therapies – Please note that I require a doctor’s note that states the doctor is aware of, and agrees to, the desired treatment.

Hygiene and Well-Being Policy

Both you and I are required to follow proper hygiene etiquette. Due to health and safety regulations, I reserve the right to refuse treatment due to improper hygiene.
It's best not to arrive at your session with a full stomach as you may experience discomfort from the techniques and body positioning during the session.
It is asked that you do not come to your session under the influence of alcohol or drugs as these things may mask your body's ability to receive the work safely.
If you have a cold, flu, sore throat, stomach virus, poison ivy, lice, skin rash or anything contagious – please reschedule your appointment.
